Protecto is built on its own authentication method, the Dynamic Authentication Method (DAM), developed by ICT Platforms. The method is protected by granted patents in the United States and Bulgaria, and further applications are pending in Europe and India.

The core mechanism of Protecto (separating the visible action from the secret input through dynamic interfaces, implicit rules and misleading elements) was examined against existing technology and granted patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (2026) and the Bulgarian Patent Office (2025).
